Questions we get a lot
Do guests need an account?
No. Anyone with the room link can join from a modern browser. Hosts need an account so that recordings, notes and billing have somewhere to live.
Which browsers are supported?
Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, current and previous major versions, on desktop and mobile. There is no native app and no browser extension.
How does the encryption work?
Media is encrypted with keys derived in the browser using WebRTC insertable streams. The routing servers forward encrypted frames and never hold the content keys.
Can I self-host Loopline?
Business customers can deploy the media layer inside their own VPC while signalling stays with us, or run the whole stack on-premise under a separate licence.
What happens to my recordings if I downgrade?
They stay available for 30 days after the downgrade so you can export them. Nothing is deleted without an email warning first.
